Okay, it’s about time I get rolling on these blog posts. I think it is fitting that in unveiling my latest creation I am also featuring the first person I had a portrait session with (outside of my family). This is Anna. (That’s her name and the name of the image. Funny how that happens.)
A Little Background
When I first started to take photography seriously I had absolutely no interest in photographing people other than the wife and kids. I really only cared about landscape photography and would snap a few wildlife photos along the way. Of course, my wife made full use of an in house photographer and I started doing quite a few portrait sessions with her and the kids. One such session featured breastfeeding images of my wife and daughter. Upon seeing these Anna mentioned that she would like to have similar photos, and so we invited Anna and her son, Monty, to participate in what I would consider my first professional session.
Next are a couple of my favorites from that session.
